I am an avid rider. I ride my bike to work, to the shops and to see the sights of London. I hardly ever use public transport and instead just ride everywhere. It is a lot healthier and helps the environment.
So now I am trying to get my kids involved. Obviously, I don€™t want them riding to school or on the roads as it is dangerous, but at the weekends and to get them to enjoy it too.
So, with some opposition as apparently it is €˜not cool€™, I decided to go online and see if I could find a bike for them. I searched used bicycles for sale , as I know there are some great deals online for second hand bikes, and there is no point buying a supersonic bike yet if they are not going to ride it.
I managed to find two bikes, one suitable for a child (my nine year old) and another suitable for a young adult, (my thirteen year old). I am going to pick them up this afternoon, in North London, so fingers crossed they like them!
